Tae Hyun dragged Yoo Mi down the narrow gap between the long clothing racks until they were far enough away from the others to comfortably speak.

“Are you taking me back here to ravish me, ex-lover?”

Yoo Mi’s amused expression said she didn’t believe that for a second. But Tae Hyun wasn’t in the mood for silly wordplay.

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

Yoo Mi allowed a small pout to break through her merry facade. “I could ask you the same thing.”

“It’s not the same thing.” Tae Hyun let out an exasperated sigh. “I only even found out you’d be involved an hour ago.”

Yoo Mi frowned. “They didn’t tell you we were in negotiations?” Tae Hyun shook his head. “Oh. Well, I guess that explains why you were so closed-lipped about it. I assumed you were trying to be coy. At least now I know why you asked me about Jason Park.” Then she smirked. “How was he, by the way?”

Tae Hyun nearly choked on his sudden panic. “What do you mean?”

Yoo Mi chuckled. “I’m kidding. Unless–” She gasped. “Wait. Did you two really–”

Tae Hyun cut her off with a finger to her glossy lips. “Don’t.” He lowered his finger. “Keep your voice down.”

“Seriously?” Yoo Mi dropped her amused facade long enough for Tae Hyun to see her genuine surprise. “Damn. I was only teasing you. I never for a moment thought he’d sleep with you.”

Tae Hyun quietly scoffed. “What? I’m not good enough?”

“No, not that.” Yoo Mi shook her head and smacked Tae Hyun on the arm. “Of course, you’re good enough. I didn’t know he was even into guys, silly.”

“Oh.” Tae Hyun felt his ears getting warm. He’d walked right into that one. “Well, for the record, we haven’t slept together yet. We just fooled around a little.”

“Yet?” Yoo Mi chuckled. “I admire your confidence.”

Tae Hyun frowned. He knew his ears were probably bright red. “Please don’t tease me. I can’t handle it today.”

Yoo Mi nodded. “I’m sorry. I’ll be good. And you can tell me everything at my party later.”

“Your party?”

“Yes. That’s why I stopped in to see you before the press conference. To let you know that Seong Woo is hosting a little celebration for us tonight.”

Tae Hyun’s eyes narrowed into a suspicious glare. “Will the press be there?”

“Of course not.” Yoo Mi casually shrugged. “But, you never know.”

Tae Hyun frowned. “I don’t know, Yoo Mi. I don’t think I can handle that right now.”

“What?” Yoo Mi huffed. “No.” She put a hand on Tae Hyun’s chest and pushed him back into the wall behind him. “Can’t handle it? No, you listen to me right now. I don’t know what’s gotten into you, but you and I are filming a fucking movie together. And that’s a big fucking deal. So you need to suck up whatever’s making you so shaky and throw it away right now. Understand?”

Tae Hyun nodded. “Alright.”

“Good.” Yoo Mi shook her head. “The Tae Hyun I know wouldn’t be intimidated by a few gossip queens at a little party.
